The perspective behind Stenson Global.

Patrick Stenson founded Stenson Global after more than 25 years of executive leadership in organizations where operational decisions, risk, governance, resource constraints and accountability had real consequences. That experience shapes a practice focused on helping executives make better-informed decisions as AI becomes increasingly embedded in how organizations operate.

The perspective wasn't developed in the abstract. It came from repeatedly seeing the same pattern play out across international, regulated operations: important decisions could appear sound on paper while the evidence, accountability and operational implications remained insufficiently clear.

That observation led to the development of the ORBIT Operating Model™ and the advisory practice built around independent assessment of the evidence supporting material AI decisions before commitment.

Experience that shaped this perspective

Chief Operating Officer

Penbrothers

As Chief Operating Officer of Penbrothers, a rapidly scaling international services firm, Patrick was accountable to the CEO and investors for organizational design and financial stewardship across a 45-person operations team - including sustaining operational continuity through COVID-era disruption, the kind of test that separates a sound operating model from a merely documented one.

International Organization for Migration

Earlier, during fifteen years with the International Organization for Migration, he led resource management through the establishment of the Republic of South Sudan - an $80M operation across 30 active funding agreements - and later oversaw a $20M annual budget at IOM's global headquarters, work that demanded the kind of governance-under-pressure that now informs this practice.

Banking and Financial Operations

That international career began in banking and financial operations - providing an early foundation in financial stewardship, operational governance and decision-making in environments where accountability matters.

If your organization is considering a material AI commitment and wants an independent, evidence-based assessment of the decision before proceeding, I'd welcome a conversation.
